Policies

***Please read completely**

Your understanding of my policies helps in my efforts to provide a wonderful grooming experience for your pet. 

Appointments & Appointment Windows: My appointments are set up as arrival windows of 1 hour. This is an estimated arrival window and is not guaranteed. Additionally, once I arrive the duration of your dogs appointment time will be an estimate. Please keep this, as well as the arrival windows in mind when booking your appointment. 

Confirmation Texts: You will receive a courtesy reminder text 4 days prior to your appointment.  These confirmation texts MUST be confirmed.   They are automatically confirmed by your response.

If you do not confirm, your appointment may be cancelled.  

Last minute reschedule/Cancellation: If you need to reschedule, please contact me as early as possible by texting 813-898-4707.   Last minute cancellations made within 24 hours of an appointment will be charged a minimum fee of 50% of the appointment fee. If you are not home or forget the appointment all together, you will be charged the full appointment fee.

Do not knock on the van at any time during the appointment

Medications:  Please let me know if your pet is on any medication that is for behavior or anxiety prior to booking your appointment.

Aggressive/Difficult Animals:  If your pet has any aggressive tendencies, it is your responsibility to let the groomer be aware of this PRIOR to booking your appointment. Puptown reserves the right to cancel at any time for aggression. If your pet has behavioral issues of any kind that makes grooming difficult or grooming is unable to be successfully completed, you are still responsible for the full amount quoted to you, as this covers the appointment time booked for your pet. 

Pet Release: Occasionally grooming can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current problem. This can occur during or after grooming. In the best interest of your pet, Puptown requests permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment at your expense, should it become necessary.  All attempts will be made to contact you in case of an emergency if you are not home. Puptown is not liable or responsible for any medical issues that occur during or after grooming, such as skin issues or etc.

Matted Coat Release/Coat: You also understand if your dog is matted, it may have to be shaved. There is a greater risk of cuts or clipper burn  when a dog is matted. You also understand that matted dogs and cats require more time for grooming, so an additional fee will be added on top of the regular grooming fee. Grooming is done at the owners risk.

Health: Grooming can be stressful for some dogs and you agree to inform the groomer if your dog has any heart conditions, stress-related problems or ANY other health issues prior to grooming. Any grooming on pets  with health problems or senior pets, will be at the owner’s risk. Additional charges may apply for extra handling of elderly dogs, dogs with special needs and dogs that are difficult to groom.

FLEAS/parasites: If your pet is found to have fleas, a fee of $25 will be added to the total appointment for treating them and deep cleaning the grooming van. Please ensure your pet is up to date on flea prevention prior to your appointment. Puptown is a flea free environment.

By signing this contract, you agree to hold Puptown Mobile Grooming harmless from any condition of your pet, either known or unknown to Puptown. It is also further understood and agreed that the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice and will override any and all prior signed contracts or releases. This clause applies to any and all pets groomed.

Your Pet is Important to me, Because I care, I want to assure you that every effort will be taken to make your pets visit as pleasant as possible.
